Behavioral Health Nurse Manager | High Demand

We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Nurse Manager to lead an inpatient psychiatric unit in a hospital based in Brooklyn, NY. This role focuses on overseeing clinical operations, managing multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving quality improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in psychiatric nursing and demonstrated leadership capabilities to enhance patient care and support staff development.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily clinical operations of the inpatient psychiatric unit
• Lead and manage multi-disciplinary staff teams, fostering collaboration
• Ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
• Coordinate patient care activities and interventions
• Monitor staff performance and implement quality improvement measures
• Manage budget and resource allocation for the unit
• Conduct crisis intervention and support patient safety initiatives
• Plan and deliver monthly staff training and professional development

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York
• 5+ years of psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience
• 2+ years in a leadership or management role within psychiatric/behavioral health
• Experience managing an inpatient psychiatric unit in a hospital setting
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field
• Hospital acute care experience
