Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR RN) in Elmira, NY

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years OR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Schedule/Hours:

• Full-time contract position

Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN license
• At least two years of recent experience as an Operating Room RN
• Advanced knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile technique, and OR protocols
• BLS and ACLS certifications (must be current)
• Strong critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Circulate and/or scrub in a variety of surgical cases, collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care before, during, and after surgery
• Adhere to infection control standards and ensure a safe, sterile operating environment
• Advocate for patient safety and comfort at all times
• Document nursing care accurately and in compliance with facility protocols
• Respond effectively to emergencies and rapidly changing situations
