A unique opportunity is available for an experienced Special Education Teacher ready to take on an essential role in an elementary school near Denver, CO. This contract position focuses on providing specialized instruction for students with affective needs at an elementary campus in Northglenn, supporting learners from ages 5 to 21. As a key member of the school's team, you will make a significant impact by guiding students toward academic growth and emotional wellbeing.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Colorado teaching license with a Special Education Generalist (Ages 5-21) endorsement
• Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher (SPED) in school settings
• Familiarity with affective needs programs or classrooms is highly desirable
• Strong classroom management and collaboration skills
• Ability to complete required district credentialing and contractor documentation promptly

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with affective needs
• Deliver engaging instruction based on students’ cognitive, social, and emotional goals
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to ensure student success
• Manage scheduling and educational records for your assigned caseload
• Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
• Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and staff regarding student progress
• Participate in professional learning and school-based meetings as required
