We're looking for experienced Fitter Welders to join a growing manufacturing team producing steel utility poles, substations, and related structures used across the electrical utility industry. This role is ideal for welders with structural steel experience who can read blueprints, fit parts accurately, and produce quality welds in a fast-paced production environment.
What You'll Do- Fit and weld structural steel components used in utility poles, substations, and other utility structures
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
- Perform Metal Core, Flux Core, MIG, and TIG welding as required
- Lay out, fit, and assemble parts before welding
- Operate overhead cranes to move material and finished assemblies
- Gather materials and components needed to complete assigned projects
- Inspect welds for quality and ensure work meets specifications
- Follow safety procedures and production requirements throughout the fabrication process
- Experience with structural steel fitting and welding
- Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols
- Experience with Flux Core, MIG, TIG, or Metal Core welding
- Strong measuring and layout skills
- Ability to work independently and determine welding sequence from prints and specifications
- Ability to pass:
- Math assessment
- Weld symbol test
- Manufacturing assessment
- Metal Core fillet weld test in the 2G position
- Fabrication shop experience
- Utility pole, structural steel, or heavy industrial welding experience
- Experience operating overhead cranes
- Experience working in a high-production manufacturing environment

This position is based in a manufacturing facility producing steel utility poles and utility structures. Welders work with structural steel, overhead cranes, welding equipment, and fabrication tools in an industrial setting. Candidates should be comfortable working in a physically active environment and maintaining high quality and safety standards throughout the production process.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.24 - $29.35/hr.
