Special Education Teacher (Multiple Settings) - East Orange, NJ

We are seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers across multiple specialized programs for full-time contract positions in the East Orange, NJ area for the 2026–2027 school year. Assignments are based at a single school site.

Program & Caseload Options Available

• Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD Levels 1–3): K–12 settings with low student-to-teacher ratios (as low as 2:1 and 3:1) and dedicated behavior specialist support.

• Cognitive Impairments (CI) & Moderate CI (MCI): 7th–12th grade self-contained classrooms.

• Learning Disabilities (Cross-Categorical): 7th & 8th grade resource/cross-categorical programs.

• Emotional Regulation Impairment (ERI): Elementary (Grades 3–5) and High School (Grades 9–10) settings.

Qualifications & Licensing Requirements

• Required License: New Jersey Teaching Certificate with required endorsement:

  • Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) OR Teacher of the Handicapped (TOH) paired with an appropriate primary endorsement matching the grade level/subject area.

• Requirements: Candidates must be able to work 100% onsite.
