Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day partnership administration, including cash movement, funding requests, distributions, reconciliations, and support for bank account documentation and compliance needs.
• Prepare and maintain partner-level allocation records related to carried interest, vesting activity, and profit and loss sharing across general partner entities.
• Support quarterly and year-end valuation reporting by assembling backup schedules, reconciling balances, and validating capital account activity.
• Assist with tax-related processes by compiling quarterly estimate information and preparing annual partnership reporting support.
• Record cash, book, and tax entries in the designated accounting platform and help maintain accurate financial records for assigned entities.
• Respond to information requests by helping draft materials and providing financial data to address investor questions.
• Produce recurring and ad hoc reports covering valuation activity, tax basis changes, and partnership investment information for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with finance colleagues to determine the proper accounting treatment for transactions, income activity, and related reporting matters.
• Participate in cross-functional projects that improve team efficiency, reporting quality, and overall departmental performance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably within financial services
• Knowledge of general ledger activity and core accounting principles; public accounting experience is helpful but not required.
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to balance competing deadlines accurately.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with comfort working with professionals at multiple levels of an organization.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively while handling confidential information with discretion.
• Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving ability, and a strong sense of accountability for assigned work.
