Job Description
Step into a rewarding opportunity for the 2026-2027 academic year as a contract Special Education Teacher at a high school setting near Londonderry, NH. This full-time role runs from August 2026 through June 2027, operating Monday through Friday, with typical hours from 7:10 AM to 2:30 PM.
In this position, you’ll manage a diverse caseload of high school students (grades 9-12) and play a vital part in delivering specialized instruction. Using an A/B day schedule, you’ll teach four 90-minute blocks daily, including a dedicated prep period. Your expertise will support students’ progress and ensure their educational needs are met with care and professionalism.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold appropriate certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience working with high school students with a range of learning needs
- Understanding of Specially Designed Instruction and IEP development
- Skilled in academic evaluations, progress monitoring, and robust data collection
- Strong communication skills with families, teachers, and support staff
- Familiarity with general special education case management
- Preferred: Background in behavior management and transition planning for older students
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group instruction aligned with student IEPs
- Develop and manage comprehensive IEPs
- Conduct academic evaluations and document student growth
