School-Based Physical Therapist

A supportive school district in the Jefferson, MA area is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) for a full-time school-based position for the 2026–2027 school year. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative special education team and provide physical therapy services to elementary-aged students in a school setting.

The school team is looking for a qualified Physical Therapist who is comfortable working onsite and collaborating with educators, families, and related service providers to help students achieve their educational goals.

Responsibilities:

· Provide school-based physical therapy services to students with a variety of physical and developmental needs
· Complete evaluations and re-evaluations to determine eligibility and service needs
· Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals related to physical therapy services
· Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and multidisciplinary team members
· Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and Medicaid billing (if applicable)
· Participate in IEP meetings and contribute recommendations to support student success
· Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate

Experience:

· Previous school-based or pediatric physical therapy experience preferred
· Experience working with elementary-aged students is a plus
· Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Education & Licensure:

· Active Massachusetts Physical Therapist (PT) License required
· Must meet all state and district requirements for school-based practice
