Job Title: Manufacturing Technician 3 (Day Shift)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technician 3 to join our team. This role involves working on the assembly and troubleshooting of complex systems, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate safe work practices including electrical safety, safe lifting techniques, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.
  • Integrate subassemblies and components into the build of complex systems to prepare for functional testing by following work instructions.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Utilize precision measurement tools such as torque wrenches, DMMs, height standards, precision measurement tools, levels, and unique electronic data gathering tools as prescribed in work instructions.
  • Disassemble and pack systems in preparation for shipment and delivery to customers.
  • Write daily pass downs and store build data as directed.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and assist Manufacturing Engineers in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.
  • Identify improvement opportunities for safety, manufacturing processes, or 6S as they arise.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Shift hours are from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM.

Essential Skills

  • 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in assembly and troubleshooting complex systems.
  • Ability to work the second shift from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • An Associate’s degree in technical engineering
  • Knowledge of hardware, software, and control systems.
  • Experience with manufacturing is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel is preferred.
  • Aptitude for identifying and resolving recurring problems.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to interface with assembly technicians, engineering, management, customers, sales, and marketing.
  • Willingness to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required.

Work Environment

The role requires the ability to lift at least 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing. The use of standard hand tools and standard office equipment is necessary. The position involves assembling and manufacturing complex systems, including vacuum-based equipment, electrical, mechanical, and control boxes.

This is a Contract position based out of San Jose, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
