Special Education Teacher in Peyton, CO

What you’ll need for success:

• Valid Special Education (SPED) licensure
• CDE (Colorado Department of Education) certification
• Experience or strong interest working with high school students
• Commitment to individualized instruction and adapting materials
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
• Strong organizational skills and flexibility when working across multiple sites

What you'll be doing:

• Provide resource support and instruction for high school students as they progress toward their academic and personal goals
• Split your time traveling between two high schools, supporting diverse learners in inclusive and pull-out settings
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff to nurture an environment of growth and acceptance
• Track progress data, maintain accurate records, and communicate student progress to all stakeholders
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school initiatives as needed
