Special Education Teacher - Littleton, CO

Make a meaningful difference supporting students’ success as a Special Education Teacher in the Northglenn area. This full-time contract opportunity provides the chance to deliver a positive impact at the elementary level, focusing on Affective Needs. Your expertise in special education will enable you to tailor instruction methods and behavioral interventions, ensuring every child reaches their full potential in a supportive environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current Colorado teaching license with a Special Education Generalist endorsement (Ages 5–21)
• Experience developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Commitment to supporting diverse learning and behavioral needs
• Ability to complete district-required credentialing documentation promptly

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to elementary students with affective needs
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, counselors, and support staff to create inclusive learning strategies
• Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust plans accordingly
• Foster a safe and encouraging classroom environment
• Engage with families and multidisciplinary teams to address student needs
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state requirements

This role offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact, with an assignment start as soon as possible and running through October 2nd. You’ll work 37.5 hours per week at one elementary school, allowing you to form meaningful relationships with your team and your students.
