Pharmacist in Madison, NE

A healthcare facility in Nebraska is seeking a Travel Night Shift Pharmacist to provide critical pharmaceutical care during their overnight hours. This role supports a 120-bed Level III trauma center, delivering expert medication management and patient safety in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Location:

• Norfolk, NE

Schedule/Hours:

• Night shift, 8:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 7 days on, 7 days off (Wednesday to Tuesday rotation)

Key Responsibilities:

• Validate medication orders with accuracy and attention to detail
• Perform kinetic dosing adjustments as needed for individual patients
• Check medications prior to distribution to ensure safety and compliance
• Respond promptly to nursing staff inquiries and provide clinical guidance
• Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding during overnight hours
• Fill outpatient prescriptions for Emergency Department patients throughout the night

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Nebraska pharmacist license required
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient pharmacy experience
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records system preferred (training available)
• Experience with Pyxis automated dispensing systems helpful
• Ability to work independently during night shifts, with pharmacy technician support provided
