C&S has an immediate opening for a full-time, remote/hybrid Medical Billing Specialist in Jefferson City. Must reside in Missouri.

Salary/hours for Medical Billing Specialist: $18.50/hr.; Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Responsibilities:

assisting providers and customers with concise interpretation and explanation of complex claims data
communicating knowledge of MO HealthNet policies, regulations and procedures
responding to phone, mail and email inquiries

must reside in Missouri
Remote: Candidates who live more than 50 miles from Jefferson City, Missouri, may work fully remote.
Hybrid: Candidates who live within a 50-mile radius of Jefferson City, Missouri, will work a hybrid schedule consisting of 3 days remote and 2 days in the office each week
Must be familiar with ICD codes and medical terminology/coding concepts.
at least 2 years' experience in one or more of the following (healthcare provider relations, healthcare patient relations, insurance claims processing, medical billing, medical diagnostic and procedure coding)
excellent communication and customer service skills
previous knowledge of MO HealthNet policies, regulations and procedures preferred
