Job Description

Job Description
Shape steel. Build precision. Own your craft.

Picture stepping up to your welding station as the first sparks fly. You study the blueprint, guide an overhead crane to set the workpiece, dial in the machine, and put down a clean, consistent bead. From parts to subassemblies to finished products, you bring designs to life with accuracy, safety, and pride.

What your day looks like
  • Start by reviewing blueprints and written/verbal instructions, verifying dimensions with measuring tools to ensure specification compliance.
  • Operate overhead cranes to safely position and secure parts prior to welding.
  • Adjust machine settings to achieve proper weld configurations across flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
  • Heat, form, assemble, and weld metal components with precision; maintain attention to detail to meet quality standards.
  • Clean finished welds using grinders, wire wheels, and needle guns for a refined result.
  • Cross-train and rotate across production areas as needed, contributing both independently and as part of a team.
  • Adhere to all safety, cleanliness, and 6S procedures while maintaining regular and reliable attendance.
Quality and certification

Excellence starts with accountability. You will pass and maintain certification through the Welder Qualification Test and consistently produce work that meets rigorous standards.

What you bring
  • Ability to wear a standard welding helmet for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed—including evenings, weekends, and holidays—to meet production demands.
  • Reliable, in-person, on-site attendance.
Standout profile
  • Welding certification from an accredited institution.
  • 1+ year of welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
Work environment and physical demands
  • Manufacturing/production setting with potential exposure to loud noise, dust, moving machinery, and temperature fluctuations.
  • Standing for extended periods; repetitive motions; lifting/carrying up to 35 pounds; pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds and up to 30 pounds sustained; bending, kneeling, climbing; and using tools/equipment.
  • Proper PPE worn when required.
  • Visual and auditory acuity necessary for safe equipment operation and effective communication.

Accessibility: Reasonable accommodations will be considered for qualified individuals with disabilities to ensure access to all essential job functions.

Why this role matters

Your craftsmanship ensures every product meets exacting specifications and safety expectations. If precision, pride, and continuous improvement motivate you, this is where your skills will shine.
