Pay: $25-$35/hour
Schedule: 12-Hour Rotating 2-2-3 Schedule
Days: 5:45 AM - 6:00 PM
Nights: 5:45 PM - 6:00 AM
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday
Location: Kansas City, KS
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. Candidates must have previous flexographic printing press experience. The ideal candidate will have experience operating, setting up, troubleshooting, and maintaining flexographic printing presses while producing high-quality products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This position is best suited for experienced flexographic press operators who demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety.
What You'll Do
- Operate and assist with setup of flexographic printing presses and production equipment.
- Perform press setups, changeovers, and job adjustments.
- Troubleshoot machine and print quality issues to minimize downtime.
- Inspect equipment and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
- Monitor product quality and follow quality control procedures.
- Accurately record production activities and material usage.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and support equipment repairs.
- Work closely with team members to maximize machine uptime and production efficiency.
- Follow all safety, GMP, and company procedures.
- Assist with housekeeping, material handling, and production support tasks.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training opportunities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous flexographic printing press experience is required.
- Experience in label, flexible packaging, film, paper, or converting manufacturing is preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to follow written work instructions and verbal directions.
- Basic math skills and ability to use measuring tools.
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, reach, and move throughout the production area.
- Ability to distinguish colors for quality purposes.
- Willingness to work overtime when needed.
