Lead Draftsperson

Position Description: Lead Draftsperson
Summary/Objective:
Reporting to a member of the project management team, the incumbent will be responsible for the production Architectural Drawings/Models in AutoCAD and/or Revit for Nationwide Banks, Restaurants, Retailers and, large property management and construction companies throughout North America.
The successful candidate will operate in a fast-paced team environment, working in collaboration with various staff members to meet scheduled deliverables.
Essential Functions:
\tCreate drawings for industry specific projects based on preliminary sketches, concepts, and data
\tUtilize AutoCAD/ REVIT and other programs to develop layout and diagrams with attention to specification details
\tAssist with technical handbooks and guidelines.
\tAssist with research on landlord code compliances and permitting.
\tAssist in the development of floor plans.
\tAssist with the completion of drawings red-lined by Studio Director, Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager
\tAbility to complete a full set of drawings with minimal errors or supervision.
\tAssist with coordination and follow up between consultants.
\tOccasionally carry out site surveys with project team on a needed basis
\tFollow instructions of managers accurately with efficiency
\tMaintain complete, readily accessible hardcopies and electronic files and records of survey reports, design direction, schedules, and any other pertinent information to the project.
Qualifications:
\tAA/BS or equivalent in Architecture, particularly work experience in
\tMinimum 2-3 years of experience as a Draftsperson preferably within the retail, restaurant, or hospitality space.
\tAbility to interpret construction data, engineering calculations and specifications.
\tProficiency in AutoCAD/Revit required, with basic knowledge of, SketchUp, Photoshop and Illustrator preferred.
\tExperience drafting construction documents preferred.
\tMust be comfortable in a support role and possess the ability to work with minimal supervision.
\tMust be able to multitask and produce accurate work.
\tMust possess strong time management skills and the ability to handle the pressure of tight deadlines.
\tDemonstrated time management, communications and organizational skills
