Job Summary
 We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Tax Preparer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and compliant tax returns for individuals and businesses. Responsibilities 

• Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for diverse clients, ensuring compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
• Conduct thorough reviews of financial documents, including income statements, balance sheets, and general ledger entries to gather necessary data for accurate filings.
• Analyze financial statements and reports to identify potential deductions, credits, and tax-saving opportunities.
• Experience with software such as QuickBooks, SPBinder & UltraTax
• Support regulatory reporting requirements by preparing detailed reports aligned with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Communicate with clients regarding missing information or tax-related questions 
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information 
• Assist with tax planning and year-round client support as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree 
• Previous experience as a Tax Professional
• Knowledge of federal and state tax laws
• Skilled in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with individual, corporate, and small business returns 
• Familiarity with bookkeeping or accounting principles
