Our client seeks a cost analyst to support life cycle cost estimating for Army programs. The role performs cost analysis across development, demonstration, and production phases, develops or evaluates cost positions, and assesses impacts to program costs including prototype analyses. The analyst collaborates with subject matter experts to produce independent Government cost estimates that withstand Army and DoD review. The position serves as a working leader who mentors lower-grade personnel, ensures quality and accuracy, and coordinates efforts with the Contracting Officer Representative.
Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen with an active Secret clearance. This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $60.00 to $70.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:- Perform cost analysis in support of program life cycle cost estimates and program office estimates.
- Develop or evaluate cost assessments and cost positions for systems development, demonstration, and production approaches.
- Assess impacts on systems and program costs, including prototype system analyses.
- Work with subject matter experts to develop independent Government cost estimates that meet Army and DoD review standards.
- Serve as working leader, providing technical guidance and mentoring lower-grade personnel for quality and accuracy.
- Coordinate work efforts with the Contracting Officer Representative.
- Minimum six years of experience preparing and updating cost estimates using ACEIT.
- Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience supporting a DoD PEO, O6 Project Manager, or O5 Product Manager.
- Experience with DoD 5000.02.
- BA or BS in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Active DoD Secret clearance.
