Pay: $14–$18 per hour, depending on experience

Do you enjoy being around cars and want an opportunity to enter the automotive industry? Dealers Auto Auction of Idaho is looking for a dependable, motivated person to join our team as a Lot & Gate Attendant.

No automotive experience is required—we will train the right person.

This is a great entry-level opportunity to learn how a wholesale auto auction operates while gaining hands-on experience with cars, trucks, and specialty vehicles. You’ll stay active, work both independently and with a supportive team, and learn skills that can lead to future opportunities within our company and the automotive industry.

What You’ll Do

  • Check vehicles into the auction as they arrive
  • Verify VINs and vehicle information for accuracy
  • Apply stock numbers and sale stickers
  • Assist dealers and transport drivers at the gate
  • Organize vehicles and help maintain inventory throughout the lot
  • Move vehicles safely around the facility
  • Help prepare the lot for our weekly auction sales
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and professional
  • Work with different types of cars, trucks, and specialty vehicles

What You’ll Learn

  • How a wholesale auto auction operates
  • Basic vehicle identification and inventory procedures
  • How to accurately inspect and document vehicle information
  • Safe vehicle handling and lot organization
  • Customer service skills within the automotive industry

What We’re Looking For

You do not need previous auction or automotive experience. We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a positive attitude and is willing to learn
  • Is dependable, punctual, and ready to work
  • Pays attention to details
  • Enjoys staying active and working outdoors
  • Works well independently and as part of a team
  • Has a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Can safely operate a variety of vehicles, or is willing to learn

Automotive experience is helpful, but it is not required.
