Job Description
Our client has an opportunity for a Data Engineer on a 12+ month contract. The role will design, develop, and support enterprise-scale data solutions that enable reporting, analytics, and business decision-making. The position requires strong SQL development, data modeling, ETL/ELT pipeline development, and cloud data experience within a collaborative Agile environment.
Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $60.00 to $70.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:- Design, build, and support scalable data pipelines and ELT/ETL processes for analytics and reporting.
- Develop and optimize SQL across large data volumes and multiple platforms.
- Leverage AWS services such as EC2, S3, and EMR to enable cloud data solutions and data lake patterns.
- Implement data modeling and warehousing solutions aligned to enterprise standards.
- Build data integration to and from Snowflake using Python and Snowflake SQL.
- Collaborate within Agile teams to deliver high-quality data solutions and follow coding best practices.
- Use DevOps and migration tools to promote code through environments.
- Engage stakeholders and communicate progress, risks, and solutions.
- Proven experience delivering data solutions in a multi-developer Agile environment.
- Expert SQL with UNIX shell and Python scripting.
- Hands-on AWS experience (EC2, S3, EMR). Snowflake experience is a plus.
- Strong database and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience developing ELT/ETL pipelines, including Snowflake integrations.
- SQL performance optimization on large datasets.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with DevOps tools for code migrations and with JIRA and Agile practices.
- Control-M or similar scheduling tools experience is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to work with stakeholders.
