We are hiring drivers for a local appliance delivery and installation account based in Indianapolis, IN. This is a home-daily position offering consistent work delivering, unloading, and installing appliances at residential, apartment, business, and builder locations within a 200-mile radius of Indianapolis. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy staying active and providing excellent customer service while working independently and as part of a delivery team.

Drivers will deliver and install appliances including refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, dishwashers, and other household products. Loads are multi-stop, and drivers can expect approximately 30 to 35 stops per week while delivering 250 to 500 units weekly. Drivers may also remove and return old or damaged appliances. All deliveries originate from a cross-dock facility in Indianapolis where appliances are staged and loaded before routes begin.

Job Details

• Local operation within a 200-mile radius of Indianapolis, IN
• Home daily
• 70% retail deliveries and 30% builder deliveries
• Multi-stop delivery routes
• Average 30 to 35 stops per week

Responsibilities

• Load and unload appliances and other heavy products
• Deliver appliances to homes, apartments, businesses, and construction sites
• Install appliances according to manufacturer specifications
• Use ramps, dollies, lift gates, and other equipment to safely move products
• Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and installations
• Read and follow installation manuals and service instructions

Training

Comprehensive paid training provided, including:

• Appliance installation procedures
• Electric ovens and dryers
• Gas ovens and dryers
• Dishwashers
• Garbage disposals
• Range hoods
• Drop-in ovens
• Customer service and safety procedures

Training typically lasts 3 to 4 weeks.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License
• Minimum 3 months of tractor-trailer experience
• Ability to load, unload, and move heavy appliances
• Experience using dollies, pallet jacks, lift gates, and ramps preferred
• Mechanical aptitude and basic tool experience preferred
• Ability to read and follow installation instructions
• Prior local delivery experience is a plus
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English as required by DOT regulations
