Travel RN – Neurology / Telemetry (Nights)

Springfield, MO | Acute Care (Inpatient Neurology/Telemetry)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (19:00–07:00) | Expected 36 or 48 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups, including neurological, medical, and medical telemetry patients
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
• Maintain professional accountability for the provision of patient care and evaluate the overall effectiveness of care delivered by other direct caregivers
• Demonstrate competence in drug titration and operation of telemetry, IV pumps, tube feeding pumps, and lift equipment
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information in accordance with applicable standards and guidelines
• Float on a rotational basis as required; night shift orients on day shift and candidate must be available the entire orientation week

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license — must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently hold a Missouri RN license
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
• NIHSS certification — may be submitted without, but must be obtained prior to start date
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient telemetry experience
• Demonstrated experience and competence in drug titration
• Flu vaccination or an approved exemption is required for all travelers from November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum 1 year of inpatient neurology experience
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR
• Determined, decisive, and flexible personality well-suited to a fast-paced neurology/telemetry environment
