Travel RN – Stepdown (IMC/PCU) – Nights

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Stepdown/IMC unit with a 5:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
• Monitor and manage post-cardiovascular surgery patients through the recovery process
• Titrate cardiac drips including Nitroglycerin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Esmolol
• Manage patients on BiPAP and utilize Airvo high-flow oxygen therapy equipment
• Recognize and respond appropriately to deteriorating patient conditions
• Float to Med/Surg as required by unit needs and respond to on-call requirements as needed

Required Qualifications

• Current Arkansas RN licensure (or compact license eligible)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Minimum 2 years of Stepdown or IMC/PCU nursing experience
• Demonstrated experience with post-CV surgery patients and cardiac drip titration

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system
• Comfort with rapid patient turnaround and frequently changing clinical priorities
