Shipping 1st shift - Now Hiring

A company in Battle Creek is hiring a Shipping Clerk.

Morning shift, 6:00am- 2:30pm and afternoon shift 2:00pm-10:30pm

Pay: $16.50-17.25/hour

• Coordinate daily shipping activities for manufactured products.
• Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, labels, and export paperwork as required.
• Schedule carrier pickups and deliveries with transportation providers.
• Verify product quantities, packaging, and shipment accuracy before dispatch.
• Maintain inventory and shipping records within ERP or warehouse management systems.
• Communicate shipment status and resolve transportation-related issues.
• Support production schedules by ensuring timely movement of materials and finished goods.
• Monitor shipping costs and recommend process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and transportation regulations.
• Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, damages, and customer claims.
• Collaborate with warehouse personnel to optimize storage and shipping workflows.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification preferred (if applicable).

Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment.
