Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students with moderate to severe needs for the upcoming school year near Antioch, CA. Openings are available at elementary and middle school levels, serving students in K–8th grade with a variety of caseloads.
This role begins August 5, 2026 and runs through June 7, 2027, offering consistent full-time hours at 35 per week. Successful candidates will positively impact the lives of their students while working with an experienced and collaborative staff.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential in Moderate/Severe or Extensive Support Needs (ESN) REQUIRED
- Experience supporting students with moderate to severe disabilities preferred
- Ability to develop and implement differentiated instructional strategies
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- A passion for fostering inclusive, accessible learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support in academic and functional skills for caseloads in K–2 (10 students), 3–5 (11 students), or 6–8 (14 students)
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for each student
- Work closely with paraprofessionals, families, and related service providers to ensure student success
- Maintain accurate records and document student progress
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse student needs
- Foster a positive, structured classroom environment that encourages growth and independence
