Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (APRN)

Location: Brattleboro, VT

Compensation

• $120,000 – $140,000 annually

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• No weekends
• 1:11 rotating on-call schedule

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Primary Care Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive outpatient care for patients of all ages. This role focuses on preventive care, chronic disease management, health promotion, and patient education while working within a collaborative multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care services.
• Perform patient assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
• Manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Promote preventive care and wellness initiatives.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe medications and monitor treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families on disease prevention and healthy lifestyles.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
• Participate in professional development and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Active Vermont APRN License (or ability to obtain).
• DEA License.
• Current Healthcare Provider CPR Certification.
• Eligible for medical staff credentialing.
• National NP Certification (Adult, Family, or Pediatric) preferred.
• Two years of nursing experience prior to advanced degree preferred.
• Clean malpractice history.
