Qualifications:

• Experience working with students in a classroom or educational environment
• Ability to assist teachers with instruction and classroom management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, adaptability, and a passion for supporting children of diverse backgrounds and abilities
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold school policies
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or relevant certification preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support to teachers by assisting with instructional activities and classroom organization
• Work directly with students, either one-on-one or in small groups, to reinforce lessons and encourage participation
• Help adapt classroom materials and activities to meet students’ individual learning needs
• Monitor and encourage positive behavior and social interactions among students
• Support students with special needs by following individualized education plans (IEPs) as directed
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with staff to develop effective classroom strategies
