Job Description
We are looking for a customer-focused Sales Assistant to support order management and transactional service activities for a fast-paced team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This Long-term Contract position centers on coordinating sales-related documentation, resolving customer and internal inquiries, and helping ensure materials, credits, and purchase activities are handled accurately. The role works closely with cross-functional partners to keep orders moving smoothly while maintaining compliance with trade and company requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the preparation, review, and ongoing coordination of sales orders to ensure each request aligns with defined business requirements.
• Support warranty exchanges, credit activity, purchase-related requests, and other order adjustments while tracking each item through completion.
• Handle administrative tasks connected to the sale, return, or crediting of materials with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness.
• Partner with internal teams such as sales, product support, repairs, finance, trade compliance, and purchasing to resolve transactional issues and maintain workflow continuity.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders and external customers to address questions, provide updates, and drive issues toward resolution.
• Maintain compliance with global trade standards and export-related policies when processing international transactions.
• Follow applicable licensing and regulatory requirements tied to export activity and related documentation.
• Contribute to the development and rollout of process improvements and departmental procedures that enhance consistency and service quality.
• Experience in customer service, sales support, order entry, or a related administrative environment.• Ability to manage detailed documentation and provide accurate status updates or supporting records when needed.
• Working knowledge of policies, procedures, and compliance expectations within a business operations setting.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments and with customers.
• Comfortable handling several priorities at once in a fast-moving environment with frequent interruptions.
• Dependable work habits and a consistent ability to follow assigned processes and complete tasks thoroughly.
• Attention to detail when processing orders, credits, purchase requests, and other transactional records.
• Commitment to continuous learning and adapting to changes in tools, procedures, or business needs.
