Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Supervisor to lead nursing operations within the Behavioral Health Department. This role involves supervising nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance, and supporting daily clinical operations in a fast-paced psychiatric setting. The ideal candidate will have strong behavioral health experience and proven leadership and supervisory skills.
-> Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support Behavioral Health nursing staff
- Coordinate daily clinical operations to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality patient care
- Provide leadership, mentoring, coaching, and performance management
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with physicians, multidisciplinary teams, and hospital leadership
- Participate in staff education, quality improvement, and departmental initiatives
- Maintain accurate documentation and support operational excellence
-> Qualifications
Required
- Active, unrestricted New York State RN license
- Behavioral Health / Psychiatric supervisory experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
-> Education & Experience
Option 1
- Master’s Degree in Nursing
- 5+ years of nursing experience
- 3+ years in a supervisory or teaching role
OR
Option 2
- BSN required
- 6+ years of nursing experience
- 4+ years in a supervisory or teaching role
