Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Supervisor to lead nursing operations within the Behavioral Health Department. This role involves supervising nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance, and supporting daily clinical operations in a fast-paced psychiatric setting. The ideal candidate will have strong behavioral health experience and proven leadership and supervisory skills.

-> Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support Behavioral Health nursing staff
• Coordinate daily clinical operations to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality patient care
• Provide leadership, mentoring, coaching, and performance management
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with physicians, multidisciplinary teams, and hospital leadership
• Participate in staff education, quality improvement, and departmental initiatives
• Maintain accurate documentation and support operational excellence

-> Qualifications

Required

• Active, unrestricted New York State RN license
• Behavioral Health / Psychiatric supervisory experience
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

-> Education & Experience

Option 1

• Master’s Degree in Nursing
• 5+ years of nursing experience
• 3+ years in a supervisory or teaching role

OR

Option 2

• BSN required
• 6+ years of nursing experience
• 4+ years in a supervisory or teaching role
