Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist experienced technicians with service of fire alarm systems.
Participate in structured on-the-job training and complete required apprenticeship milestones.
Develop technical skills related to fire alarm systems, tools, and equipment.
Support troubleshooting activities under supervision.
Use hand tools and testing equipment under supervision.
Maintain accurate training logs and required documentation for apprenticeship program.
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and industry standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment on job sites.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, mentors, and team members.
Travel to job sites as required with assigned team members.
Perform work in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
Travel to job sites as required.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Education/Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must be enrolled in Pye-Barker’s formal and registered apprentice program.
Ability to learn technical skills through structured training.
Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
Basic mechanical aptitude preferred.
If Driving Role: Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license.
Other Duties:
Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods.
Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
