Lexington Christian Academy is accepting applicationS for the position of Alumni Engagement & Development Services Coordinator with a start date of August 1, 2026. The Alumni Engagement & Development Services Coordinator strengthens relationships with alumni while supporting the operational excellence of the development office. This position combines relationship-building and community engagement with the administrative and data management responsibilities that support fundraising success.

The Coordinator serves as the primary point person for alumni engagement, creating opportunities for alumni to remain connected to LCA through events, communications, volunteer opportunities, and philanthropy. The Coordinator also manages donor records, gift processing, acknowledgments, reporting, and database integrity to ensure effective stewardship and informed fundraising strategy.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, relational, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic about advancing LCA's mission through both meaningful engagement and excellent operational support.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Alumni Engagement (60%)

Build and strengthen alumni relationships

  • Serve as the primary coordinator for alumni engagement efforts

  • Develop meaningful connections with alumni across generations

  • Maintain regular communication with alumni through email, social media, and other channels

  • Encourage alumni participation in school events, volunteer opportunities, and community initiatives

  • Plan and execute alumni programs and events


Grow alumni philanthropy and participation

  • Develop and implement annual alumni giving strategies

  • Conduct annual solicitations of alumni donors through mail, email, phone, and personal outreach

  • Steward alumni donors through timely communication and recognition

  • Track participation and giving trends to inform future engagement efforts

  • Promote a culture of lifelong engagement and philanthropy, helping alumni understand that supporting LCA through service, advocacy, attendance, and financial contributions is an important way to remain connected to the school community

Development Services (40%)
Manage donor data and gift processing

  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the Raiser’s Edge database

  • Create and update constituent records

  • Process gifts accurately

  • Generate gift acknowledgments and tax receipts in a timely manner


Support fundraising strategy and reporting

  • Utilize donor data to support fundraising and engagement efforts

  • Create queries, reports, dashboards, and mailing lists

  • Support segmentation and campaign planning

  • Assist with donor portfolio management and prospect research

  • Support operational excellence within the development office


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Passion for Lexington Christian Academy's mission and commitment to Christian education

  • Demonstrates high integrity, professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to connect authentically with alumni, parents, donors, volunteers, and colleagues

  • Skill in initiating conversations about philanthropy and encouraging charitable support for LCA's mission

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to build a narrative for support

  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues across the school

  • Experience in fundraising, alumni relations, nonprofit organizations, education, communications, customer service, or community engagement preferred

  • Experience working with databases, CRMs, fundraising software, or constituent management systems preferred

  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and other common workplace technologies

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred



SCHEDULE AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This is a full-time, 12-month position on the non-Academic work cycle..

Occasional evening and weekend work is required to support alumni events, donor engagement activities, and school functions.
