Forklift Operator - Now Hiring

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Forklift Operator to join their team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be part of the Distribution Department supporting warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Forklift Operator

Location: Canaan, CT

Pay Range: $23/ hour

Shift: Night shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) OR Day Shift *7:00am-7:00pm)

What's the Job?

• Transport palletized products within the manufacturing plant, including unloading, put-away, bulk handling, and pallet picking
• Operate various material handling equipment such as high reach, counterbalance, electric pallet jack, and dock stocker
• Utilize RF scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to ensure inventory accuracy and track products throughout the site
• Maintain product integrity and follow all safety procedures, including the use of PPE
• Cross-train in other areas and provide backup support as needed

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; relevant experience may substitute
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in material handling or warehouse operations
• Intermediate experience with high reach or counterbalance forklifts
• Ability to obtain forklift certification within 2 days of employment
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting distribution documents in English, operating MHE, and using RF scanners
