Forklift Operator - Now Hiring

Our client, a manufacturing industry leader, is seeking a Forklift Operator to join their team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be part of the warehouse support team, ensuring efficient and safe movement of products within the facility. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Forklift Operator

Location: Canaan, CT

Pay Range: $23

Shift: Days and Nights (7am - 7pm OR 7pm-7am)

What's the Job?

• Transport palletized products within the manufacturing plant, including unloading, put-away, and pallet picking
• Operate various material handling equipment such as high reach, counterbalance, electric pallet jack, and dock stocker
• Utilize RF scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to maintain inventory accuracy and track products
• Ensure the integrity and safety of products during handling and movement
• Follow all site safety procedures, including the use of PPE such as safety vests and shoes

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; relevant experience may substitute
• At least 1 year of experience operating material handling equipment, with intermediate proficiency in high reach or counterbalance forklifts
• Ability to obtain forklift certification within 2 days of employment
• Ability to read and interpret distribution documents in English
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with RF scanners and WMS systems
