Job Title: Office Nurse / Receptionist
Position Summary:
The office nurse / receptionist is a dual – role position which is responsible for providing
helpful and quality clinical support while ensuring smooth, professional front desk
operations.
This role blends patient care with administrative excellence, supporting the Provider,
enhancing patient experience and maintaining an organized and excellent practice
environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative and front desk duties:
1. Greet patients warmly while managing Check – in and Check – out processes
2. Answer phone, schedule appointments and manage the Providers calendar
3. Communicate professionally with patients, families, pharmacies and other oices
4. Handle incoming faxes, referrals and medical records request / release of
information requests
5. File and maintain organized patient records and ensure accurate data entries at all
times with emphasis during the initial intake process
6. Assist with office correspondence forms and general administrative tasks.
7. Maintain office environment and inventory
Clinical Duties:
1. Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the Electronic Medical records (EMR)
2. Support medication refills and pharmacy coordination
3. Assist in Medication Prior Authorization process and Lab Tracking
4. Triage patient calls / messages and provides information to the provider in a timely
manner
Qualifications:
1. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) Medical Assistant with
STRONG Behavioral Health Experience will be considered
2. Efficiency with EHR Systems
3. Ability to demonstrate and maintain STRICT confidentiality and emotional
boundaries
4. Strong organizational skills and confidence in balancing clinical and administrative
duties
Required qualifications:
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- 21+ years or older
Preferred qualifications:
- At least high school diploma or equivalent or higher
- Medical license/certification: Medical Assitant Certification
- Medical license/certification: LPN
- Medical license/certification: RN
- Comfortable handling customer complaints
