About the Position

TransForce is seeking a CDL A Yard Hostler to support our client's local operations in San Antonio. This on-site position offers steady work, reliable scheduling, and the opportunity to work with a driver-focused team. The role is temp-to-perm and begins August 3, 2026.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay: $23 per hour
• Schedule: Monday through Thursday
• Shift: PM shift, with start times between 6:00 PM and 5:30 AM
• Start times vary; flexibility is required
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Employment type: Temp-to-perm

Job Details

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL A equipment in a local yard environment
• Move trailers and refrigerated freight in accordance with DOT and safety standards
• Load and unload freight using an electric pallet jack
• Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain accurate logs and paperwork
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations teams
• Lift up to 50 pounds and meet the physical demands of the role

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
• 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
• Yard hostler experience
• Experience using an electric pallet jack
• No endorsements required
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
