Activity Assistant

Heath Village is a constantly growing and unique retirement community providing multiple levels of housing and healthcare for close to 400 residents and is located on a 100+ acre campus. • Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing recreational and therapeutic activities for residents
• Engage residents in activities, ensuring their participation and enjoyment while providing support as needed
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for all activities, adhering to health and safety regulations
• Document resident participation and feedback to help evaluate the effectiveness of programs
• Collaborate with other staff members to coordinate special events and outings for residents
• The ability to work collaboratively with other staff members enhances the overall effectiveness of the activities offered.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication, interpersonal abilities and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in recreational therapy or a related field.
• Experience in planning and leading group activities.
• Experience working with elderly or disabled individuals in a care setting

Schedule:

Sunday, Monday and Friday 10am - 4:30pm
