POSITION SUMMARY:

The Talent Specialist is responsible for delivering an exceptional employee experience from offer acceptance through onboarding, development, and early career growth. This role independently owns critical talent processes, partners with leaders across the business, and drives continuous improvement of onboarding, talent development, employee experience, and recruiting operations.

The Talent Specialist serves as a trusted partner to leaders and employees, ensuring programs are executed with excellence while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, engagement, and organizational effectiveness.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Employee Experience, Preboarding & Onboarding

  • Own the end-to-end preboarding and onboarding experience from offer acceptance through the employee's first 90 days.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires throughout the onboarding process.
  • Coordinate all onboarding activities with IT, Facilities, Payroll, Safety, hiring managers, and other internal partners to ensure employees are fully prepared for Day One.
  • Facilitate engaging new hire orientation sessions and continuously improve the onboarding experience.
  • Develop, maintain, and update onboarding materials, presentations, manager toolkits, and employee resources.
  • Manage onboarding communications, schedules, and documentation.
  • Analyze onboarding metrics and survey data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve onboarding processes to increase employee engagement, readiness, and productivity.

Talent Development

  • Facilitate learning sessions, workshops, and development events as assigned.
  • Support talent review, succession planning, and career development initiatives.
  • Partner to maintain and enhance the company's Learning Hub and talent development resources.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and culture-building activities.
  • Track participation, effectiveness, and program outcomes while recommending enhancements.
  • Partner with P&C team to identify development opportunities that strengthen organizational capability.

Recruiting Operations & Hiring Support

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to deliver a seamless transition from candidate to employee.
  • Coordinate interview scheduling, candidate communications, and recruiting logistics as needed.
  • Support hiring managers throughout the recruiting and selection process.
  • Assist with recruiting events, career fairs, internship programs, and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Maintain recruiting documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
  • Support continuous improvement of recruiting processes and the overall candidate experience.

Project Management & Process Improvement

  • Independently manage multiple talent and employee experience projects simultaneously.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and action plans while ensuring milestones are achieved.
  • Facilitate meetings, document action items, and follow through on commitments.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to successfully implement talent initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and enhance the employee experience.
  • Develop and maintain standard work, documentation, and process guides.

Data, Systems & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate employee, onboarding, and talent program records.
  • Support HRIS, Learning Management System (LMS), and talent technology administration.
  • Track and analyze key talent metrics, including onboarding, engagement, recruiting, and learning effectiveness.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards that provide meaningful insights to leaders.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across People & Culture systems.
  • Use data to identify trends, recommend improvements, and support decision-making.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, or Employee Experience.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS/Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Experience leading onboarding programs.
  • Experience with talent development or employee engagement initiative
