Responsibilities
- Specialize in performing diagnostic studies in nuclear medicine imaging to obtain high-quality diagnostic information
- Obtain patient history, explain standard procedures, and address patient concerns to foster comfort and confidence
- Operate and maintain assigned nuclear medicine imaging equipment to ensure proper function
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals or substances within the technologist’s scope of practice as prescribed
- Conduct quality assurance and apply radiation safety practices to reduce exposure for patients, staff, and self
- Maintain required documentation, logs, and records in paper and electronic formats; may assist other radiology areas as needed
- Adhere to all regulatory standards and policies, including Joint Commission, federal and state guidance, and internal procedures
Requirements
- Active registration in Nuclear Medicine with ARRT or NMTCB (required)
- Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience (required)
- BLS certification (required)
- Ability to work a 4x10-hour shift pattern (7:00 AM–5:00 PM)
- Willingness to participate in weekend rotations as described
- Demonstrated knowledge of radiation safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance
