GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

Following the best practices for safety, both on the road and while loading or unloading trucks, the delivery driver is responsible for delivering company products to customers in a safe timely fashion and load and unload vehicles at our facilities and customer locations.

Key Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Safely operate a box truck
Load and unload material, both at the manufacturing location and customer locations
Ability to coordinate delivery details with the customer
Check load for accuracy before leaving for delivery
Properly maintain and track daily logs and related record keeping
Report any issues or incidents to management
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuel the truck as needed, and report any problems or issues to supervisor

Skills and Abilities

Must have a clean driving record
Meet physical demands for medium to heavy work
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc)Strong work ethic
Self-motivatedPunctual/dependable with great attendance

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED (preferred)1 year experience driving box truck (preferred)
