Electrical Assembly and Test Technician - Now Hiring

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in electrical components and assemblies, is seeking a dedicated Electrical Assembly and Test Tech to join their dynamic team. As an Electrical Assembly and Test Tech, you will be an integral part of the manufacturing department supporting electrical assembly and testing operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Electrical Assembly and Test Technician

Location: Houston, TX

Pay Range: $30hr

Shift: 6am - 2:30pm plus overtime

What's the Job?

• Assemble, wire, and test electrical components such as relays, switches, transformers, circuit breakers, and terminal blocks while adhering to safety standards.
• Install completed assemblies into cabinets and enclosures, ensuring proper fit and function.
• Accurately layout and position assembly components for construction feasibility and ease of maintenance.
• Participate in switch rack construction, including bus fabrication, enclosure construction, and component mounting.
• Complete Eaton's Qualified Electrical Worker training and perform functional testing of products, troubleshooting quality issues as needed.

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• At least 2 years of experience in complex electrical assembly and testing, with relevant certifications or technical training.
• 3 years of electro-mechanical assembly experience, including piping, conduits, and threading.
• Ability to work overtime as required.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification prior to start date.
