If you've ever applied to a machinist job only to discover they really wanted a production worker with a fancy title, this isn't that job.

Manpower is hiring an experienced Machinist for a growing Fresno manufacturer. The most important requirement is simple:

YOU MUST HAVE AT LEAST 3+ YEARS OF HANDS-ON LATHE AND MILL EXPERIENCE.

Not machine operation in general.
Not assembly.
Not production line experience.

We're specifically looking for machinists who have worked with both lathes and mills and can confidently operate machining equipment, read measurements, inspect parts, and maintain tight tolerances.

In this role, you'll use lathes, mills, calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring tools to produce quality parts that meet exact specifications. You'll read and interpret measurements in inches and micro-inches, perform basic math calculations, inspect finished products, and work closely with the manufacturing team to meet production goals.

The ideal candidate has:
• 3+ years of machinist experience
• 3+ years operating lathes
• 3+ years operating mills
• Experience using calipers and micrometers
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and measurements
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment

One of the best parts of this opportunity is the schedule. Instead of the traditional five-day workweek, you'll work four 10-hour shifts each week. That means a built-in three-day weekend every week, giving you more time for family, hobbies, projects, fishing, racing, camping, or simply enjoying an extra day off while everyone else is still at work.

If your background is primarily production, assembly, warehouse, or machine operation without significant lathe and mill experience, this position will not be the right fit. We are specifically seeking experienced machinists with proven lathe and mill experience.

Pay:
Starting at $18.00/hour and up depending on experience.
