Transfer Team Member - Paid per transfer

Jenkins Funeral Home is seeking compassionate and dependable individuals to join our On-Call Transfer Team. This role is responsible for the respectful transfer of deceased individuals from homes, hospitals, nursing facilities, and other locations to our funeral home.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to earn supplemental income while maintaining flexibility. Team members remain on call from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. and respond only when a transfer request is received. There are no overnight shifts at the funeral home—you sleep in your own bed and respond only when called.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to after-hours transfer calls.
• Professionally and respectfully transfer the deceased from the place of death to the funeral home.
• Interact with families, caregivers, hospital staff, hospice personnel, nursing facilities, and first responders with compassion and professionalism.
• Complete required documentation accurately.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest ethical standards.
• Safely operate and maintain company vehicles and equipment.
