Primary Function:

This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining light duty trucks or emergency vehicles. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform intermediate maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on light-duty trucks and emergency vehicles.
  • Install and service mechanical systems, suspension components and drivetrains.
  • Ability to perform roadside maintenance and repairs.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot and repair engine performance, brakes, cooling systems, ignition systems, hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Maintain and repair new vehicle set up.
  • Road test vehicles and diagnose customer complaints.
  • Responsible for maintaining shop equipment and a clean and safe work area
  • Ensure all work complies with DOT, NFPA, and other regulatory guidelines as required.
  • Maintain accurate service records and follow company and industry safety standards.
  • Manage and report time on tasks.
  • Wash, clean and prep new vehicles for service.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • Applicants must have their own tools and a clean valid state driver's license.
  • Proficiency in automotive mechanical systems, diagnostics and repair.  
  • Ensure all work complies with Triple KKK standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment a plus.  

 

 

Experience:

High School Diploma or GED and at least 2 years of experience in an electrical automotive environment or equivalent experience.  Proficient in all intermediate repair disciplines (welding, carpentry, fabrication, knowledge of air brakes systems. etc.)  and have a willingness to learn new systems as they relate to emergency vehicles.  Driver’s license CDL B with air brake and bus endorsement a plus.
