Pittsburgh area company in need of an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support a broad range of HR functions with a strong emphasis on career laddering, employee relations, and performance management.
Responsibilities to include:
- Partner with leadership to develop and implement career laddering and employee development initiatives that support retention and internal promotion.
- Serve as a trusted resource for employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, coaching, investigations, and policy interpretation.
- Manage the performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, coaching, corrective action, and performance improvement plans.
- Support managers in workforce planning, succession planning, and employee development.
- Coordinate and assist with recruiting efforts, including posting positions, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, extending offers, and onboarding new employees.
- Assist with administering of employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, employee communications, and liaison with benefit providers.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation while ensuring confidentiality.
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and HR projects.
- Prepare HR reports and analyze workforce metrics to support business decisions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive Human Resources Generalist experience.
- Strong background in career laddering, employee development, employee relations, and performance management.
- Moderate experience in full-cycle recruiting and benefits administration.
- Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
- Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now is a plus
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus.
