Electrical Process Engineer

Job Summary

Designs, implements, maintains and optimizes industrial processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety in the manufacturing environment to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and high-quality output. Works closely with Maintenance department to ensure equipment is working effectively.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Develops and improves production processes to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and high-quality output
• Tests, monitors, and maintains equipment to ensure compliance with safety, quality and production standards
  Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Maintenance, R&D, Quality, and production, to implement process improvements
• Works with Plant Manager to monitor factory output levels and develops / implements continuous improvement initiatives in safety, quality and productivity
• Partners with Director of Operations related to expense budgeting for the Diamond Tool factory
• Works closely with various other managers to support improvement initiatives
• Develops plans for efficient use of materials and equipment
• Reviews production costs and helps modify production programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of the Diamond Tool division
• Develops standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintains accurate documentation for compliance and process tracking
• Trains and mentors staff on new processes, equipment, and best practices
• Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and five (5) or more years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to clearly and effectively communicate expectations, results, plans, etc
• Strong troubleshooting, problem solving, and reporting skills
• Intermediate computer skills – experienced in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
• Ability to inspire, motivate, and support staff as needed
