Lead Carpenter / Working Foreman

The Working Foreman / Lead Carpenter plays a crucial role in leading a small team of 1-3 carpenters, ensuring daily on-site supervision and successful delivery of residential, commercial, and mixed project types. This position combines hands-on carpentry expertise with project planning and safety oversight to achieve efficient and high-quality construction outcomes. The foreman is expected to utilize both general construction equipment and specialized carpentry tools, emphasizing both development and delivery throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a small team of carpenters on-site daily
• Perform skilled carpentry work using specialized and general tools
• Plan and coordinate project tasks to ensure timely completion
• Oversee safety compliance and enforce safety protocols
• Resolve on-site problems effectively to maintain project flow

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in carpentry and construction
• Valid Driver's License
• Proficiency in carpentry and construction supervision
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Strong knowledge of safety compliance standards
• Effective team leadership and project coordination skills
• Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
