The Employer Services Coordinator position is up to 35 hours per week.



This position is responsible for the following:

· It is expected that the Employer Services Coordinator will travel throughout the service area extensively to engage employers, partners, potential participants and also attend meetings. The service area covered is Brooke, Hancock, Ohio, Marshall, Wetzel and Tyler.

· Meet with area businesses to assess workforce skill needs, identify resources, and discuss appropriate services that can be provided by the Northern Panhandle Workforce Development Board, Inc. (NPWDB,Inc.) and American Job Centers through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).

· Market WIOA and special grants, oversee employer application review and submission process; monitor contracts and enter data into electronic records system, prepare and submit reports for management and board meetings.

· Attend community events and meetings on behalf of the NPWDB,Inc. and American Job Centers.

· The requirements of the position may include before and after-hours’ events.

  • Research the local sector needs and labor market trends and recommend projects and strategies to improve employer services.
  • Maintain current knowledge and awareness of local, regional, and global workforce trends and advances.
  • Work closely and collaborate with the One Stop Operator Manager.

Desired qualifications and experience:

· Strong communication skills such as talking to others to convey information effectively and also active listening such as giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

· Outreach - Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and training on services.

· Ability to work in a group setting within the office as well as independently with oversight.

· Reliable transportation, valid Driver's License and proof of vehicle insurance with the ability to travel within the entire region.

· Proficient in Microsoft word, excel and overall computer literacy.
