Classroom Aide | Wilmington, Delaware

Make a meaningful impact supporting young learners in an early childhood educational setting as a dedicated paraprofessional. This contract position spans the 2026-2027 academic year, working directly with one student in a supportive environment. Key Qualifications:

• Active Delaware Paraeducator Permit required at the time of application (pending or in-process permits will not be considered)
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license and experience required
• Ability to work the full scheduled hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch
• Experience providing one-on-one support to children in an educational or clinical setting
• Skilled in feeding assistance, transfers to specialized equipment, diapering, and safety monitoring
• Comfortable prompting student engagement and fostering participation
• Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and a positive learning atmosphere

Responsibilities:

• Deliver attentive one-on-one care and instructional support to a single early childhood student
• Provide daily assistance with activities of daily living including feeding, toileting/diapering, and mobility transfers
• Safely operate and assist with specialized equipment as needed
• Encourage and prompt active participation in classroom activities
• Proactively monitor and ensure student safety throughout the school day
• Collaborate with teaching staff and other professionals to meet student goals

Please note: For candidates with RBT certification, supervision to maintain your credential must be secured independently and outside of school hours, as this role will not be classified or compensated as an RBT position.
