Robert Half Management Resources is looking for a Project Manager - Systems to oversee solar installation initiatives for one of our clients on an interim basis. This contract position is ideal for a project leader who can keep schedules, budgets, field execution, and stakeholder communication aligned across multiple active sites. The role requires close coordination with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to deliver safe, compliant, and high-quality project outcomes in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities:

• Direct solar projects through each stage of delivery, from pre-construction planning and kickoff activities to commissioning and final turnover.

• Coordinate engineers, field personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, utility contacts, and customers to keep project milestones on track.

• Supervise site execution to confirm work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with drawings, specifications, and contractual expectations.

• Track financial performance by reviewing costs, validating invoices, processing change requests, and identifying opportunities to improve project results.

• Maintain compliance with permitting conditions, code requirements, interconnection standards, environmental obligations, and jobsite safety practices.

• Lead recurring project discussions with clients and internal stakeholders, providing clear updates on timelines, budget status, risks, and issue resolution.

• Review technical documentation, procurement progress, RFIs, and long-lead material timelines to reduce delays and address execution risks early.

• Partner with field teams on constructability reviews, quality checks, punch list completion, commissioning support, and closeout documentation.

• Keep organized project records including contracts, schedules, budget tracking, meeting notes, safety materials, and turnover packages.

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, project management, renewable energy, or a related discipline; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
• At least 3 years of experience managing projects in solar, electrical, construction, or similar installation-based environments.
• Demonstrated ability to oversee subcontractors, maintain schedules and budgets, and communicate effectively with customer-facing stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of solar PV systems, electrical construction methods, and structured project delivery practices.
• Ability to interpret plans, specifications, contracts, and project schedules with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong leadership, organization, problem-solving, and negotiation skills in cross-functional project settings.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management or scheduling tools; PMP certification and Agile Scrum exposure are valued.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
