Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room (ER) | Jaffrey, NH

The Registered Nurse (RN) in our outpatient setting in Jaffrey, NH, plays a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care. This position demands hands-on expertise in emergency nursing, a keen ability to assess and respond promptly to patient needs, and collaborative skills to work alongside healthcare team members. Reporting to the Nurse Manager, the RN will be pivotal in ensuring patient safety, education, and care planning without any travel requirements, all while advancing their professional career within a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments focusing on emergency care needs
• Administer medications accurately and monitor patient reactions
• Continuously monitor patients’ conditions and respond to emergencies promptly
• Document patient care, treatments, and observations clearly and accurately
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and preventive care
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care delivery
• Apply critical thinking in high-pressure situations and emergency response
• Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet patient needs

Required Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Associate's degree in Nursing or higher
• Active New Hampshire RN License or Compact RN License
• Current BLS (AHA) Certification
• Current ACLS Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with emergency assessment, rhythm recognition, and basic arrhythmia interpretation
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) designation
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Certification
